| Narrative description of Project:
The project seeks to strengthen girls primary education by increasing learning opportunities to girls. It also aims at providing elementary level of education in 20 potential girls primary schools of the focused districts. It will facilitate generation of policy level support to increase elementary education, opportunity especially for girls in the province through advocacy and partnership. ss |
Description of actual services provided: Following services were provided under the project:  Mapping of the situation of elementary education in 4 districts to identify areas where there is high demand but little access to middle schools education for girls. Mobilization campaign to increase enrolment in existing 50 middle schools by 45% 20 new community girls middle classes with 500 students established in potential primary schools 20 education councils comprising of 5-7 PTSMCs each are formed and trained on development linkages with education department for school development School supplies and learning material for newly established and under-resources existing middle schools One month crash teacher training for new teachers 220 girls primary school linked with 50 existing and 20 newly established middle school created Project coordination mechanism and 05 advocacy seminars district and provincial levels conducted |
