| Narrative description of Project:
The RCC project seeks to provide pre school education to the children between the age 3-5 in 80 school of 7 districts of the province and thus addressing the problem of high drop out in classes 1-II and creating confidence among the children and the parents that quality education is inevitable for the development of area and the person itself. |
Description of actual services provided by our staff within the assignment:  Promotion and advocacy interventions on ECD awareness carried out with teachers, school heads,
communities, &local government officials and NGOs Linkages amongst schools, local government departments and government run teacher resource centers Teacher exchange visits facilitated Developed training modules that are replicated and train teachers who deal with kachi and grades one and two Developed supplementary educational material for ECE classrooms and distribute it to RCC schools with appropriate training. Matching seed grants awarded to communities Young children learning initiatives are taken in school through community participation Conducted awareness raising campaign for 100 communities to strengthen each school management committee 100 local female ECE teachers recruited and trained Learning Resource Centers established in 18-20 clusters with lead teachers and material foe effective delivery of this program Training provided to local government officials on translating ECE knowledge of role and responsibilities into practices with particular regard to improved education planning, budgeting and monitoring Seminar and workshop for ECE practitioners on district, provincial and national level/ Exchange visits Mapping exercise ECES publications and website Research on ECE and Monitoring Information System in place and functioning |
